SC1 – Adventure Awaits Series – Drawing Big Ben and a Red Phone Booth in London, England. One of Five Zoom Sessions of drawing and painting fun you can do at home!
Please note, the first video shares how to use a ruler. We don’t always use rulers, of course, but it’s good to know some basic ways to use a ruler when you are creating things that are man made, like buildings! A lot of boys and girls don’t actually understand how to use a ruler to make a straight edge, I have noticed in many of my classes, but as you’ll see in the video, it doesn’t have to be perfect and even Miss Laura makes mistakes! So here’s an little introduction…
Video #1 (below) shares step by step how to draw Big Ben and the red phone booth. This drawing video is appropriate for advanced 2nd/3rd grade, 4th through 8th graders, or really any beginner level student! Drawing skills in this video include how to use a ruler to draw buildings, what one-point perspective is, what a horizon is, and other fun facts.
Video #2 (below) shares step by step how to draw your scene on your canvas. This drawing video is appropriate for 7th-9th graders or anyone wanting to learn how to use one-point perspective. Stop and start the video any time so you can go at your own pace!
